 The Hayloft

As the name suggests this is the barn that originally stored the hay grown in the surrounding fields and fed to the animals.  It retains many of its original features.

It is a thatched two storey barn with a well equipped kitchen with dishwasher and fridge/freezer.  The spacious beamed living area has comfortable leather sofas and a Smart TV, well equipped kitchen and dining area.  The very large dining table with 7 chairs can be added to if required (old layout shown in video). There are two bedrooms downstairs one with a kingsized bed (room for travel cot) and one with a cosy single.  Upstairs there is a newly fitted family bathroom with large walk in shower, two further bedrooms, one with large bunk beds and a twin bedded room with a quirky en-suite bathroom with a bath. Hayloft has 2 designated car park spaces.

What’s included
A bath towel is provided for each guest but please bring your own beach/pool towels. Beds are made up just before your arrival with fresh linen. There is also a welcome pack to start your stay with locally made treat and some Dorset tea, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets (where applicable), soap, tea towel, dishcloth and 4 toilet rolls.  Free High Speed in cottage Wi-Fi. Each cottage has a hairdryer.

Testimonial from Hitomi – Oct ’23

We had an amazing stay at Hayloft. Lovely to drive through the village, bless taking views on the way to the cottage. Berehays Holiday Cottage has great facilities. My teenage sons enjoyed playing table tennis, foosball and pool table. All good fun! Very quiet and relaxing atmosphere. It was a nice touch to see signs for designated car parking spaces, a jar of an animal feed etc. We highly recommend staying at Hayloft.

Testimonial from Linda – Aug ’23

Our extended family spent much needed time together. We were made to feel extremely welcome by Kevin. Thankyou for a lovely stay. In our group there were six adults and two small children so with such a large party it might have been difficult but the house was great with everything we wanted. The swimming and the alpacas were a real highlight. We all loved the fair on the last day as well as having trips by car, bike and minicab to Lyme and Charmouth. Various people in our group visited the friendly 5 Bells pub but mainly we ate in. Other families were friendly but not intrusive. We went to the historic church (really worth a visit) and the Manor as well as Felicity’s farm shop which sold great homemade pies. Again thankyou Kevin and Hayley. Amazing holiday.
