Smugglers Cottage

Dorset has a long tradition of smuggling, shipwrecking and even piracy.

This cosy single storey converted stone barn is ideal for a couple with a double bedded room (room for a travel cot), ample storage and newly fitted ensuite bathroom with large walk-in shower.  The living area has a high vaulted beamed ceiling and wood burning stove with a Smart TV and a sofa and armchair.  The country kitchen area is fully equipped and has a dining area.

What’s included
A bath towel is provided for each guest but please bring your own beach/pool towels. Beds are made up just before your arrival with fresh linen. There is also a welcome pack to start your stay with locally made treat and some Dorset tea, washing up liquid, soap, tea towel, dishcloth, 2 toilet rolls, a free basket of logs, kindling and fire lighters will be provided.  Free High Speed in cottage Wi-Fi. Each cottage has a hairdryer.

A cute little cottage, all as described. The pool and spa area were an added bonus, we particularly enjoyed the sauna. A fantastic spot to explore Lyme Regis and the surrounding area. We were lucky with the weather and were able to have many lovely walks. We particularly recommend the walk from the cottage to St Gabriel’s mouth, to the coast and back along the River Char (with a Pint or two in one of the pubs along the way!). We ate at the local pub, The Five Bells, and were well looked after and fed, all very friendly. Thank you x
