We renovated Baabara from an original shepherds hut to add lots of comforts to make a relaxing, fun and unique experience. It is situated by the pond in our paddock with sheep, alpacas, ducks, fish, and birds amongst other wildlife. Also on site there is an indoor pool, sauna and spa pool for you to enjoy. This is the place to be if you are looking to relax, unwind and enjoy peace and tranquility.

The comfy sofa pulls out to a kingsize bed with memory foam mattress (bed linen and towels provided). A log burner heats the hut up to a very cosy temperature with candles creating the atmosphere.

There is outside seating for you to relax and enjoy the stunning views. The alpacas and sheep will come and meet you, the ducks will also be inquisitive and pay you a visit.

You can take a 5 minute stroll to our friendly local farmers pub. There are also many excellent restaurants in the area from Hix and River Cottage to Japanese cocktail bar and home cooked Italian, the area is renowned for using the best local fresh food (especially seafood) and drinks.

Charmouth is the nearest beach 2 miles away with Lyme Regis, West Bay and Bridport 5 miles away.

Minimum booking is 2 nights to relax and enjoy the area. Discounts available for longer stays.

It will be refurbished and sited in our peaceful paddock with its very own sheep, Pickle and Lily, to accompany it. You could be a real shepherd!

We are pleased to tell you about all the new and exciting changes we’ve made in the last year here at Berehayes.

January – We had the large barns and farmhouse re-thatched (after 28 years). It took 6 men 10 weeks in total (and lots of tea and cakes!).
February – We decorated all cottages, fitted some new carpets, installed some walk-in showers and revamped several kitchens.
March – The pool complex was enhanced with a stretched ceiling and jacuzzi.
April – A google visual tour was added to our website, click here to see the complex.

May – Actress Sarah Parish (Doctor Who & Mistresses) & her film crew stayed with us (and came to the village pub!)
June – We rehomed 3 funny Alpacas, Dorcus, Camilla & Betsy Buttercup. The children have had so much fun feeding them.
July – An Air Source Heat Pump was installed to heat the indoor pool (to a warm 29°) this will help save electricity and our planet.
August – We raised £1071 for charity ‘Young Dorset’ by selling holidays in their yurt in our paddock.

September – We incubated some eggs and raised 4 Aylesbury ducks (we used to live there). Feeding them on the pond has been fun for all.
October – Holistic Massages were introduced to the delight of many guests. More beauty treatments will be introduced for the 2016 season.
November – Improved WiFi, now superfast broadband is in Dorset.
December – We were inspected by the AA and received a 4 star rating and are featured on their website.
