Apple Cottage
Dorset is famous for it’s apples, especially in it’s cakes and cider making.
A lovely single storey cottage for two with a kingsize bed (not twins as shown in the room layout and in the old photo) with room for a travel cot, ample storage and an ensuite bathroom with bath and shower over. It has a high vaulted beamed ceiling in the living area with french windows opening out to a private peaceful south facing patio. It has comfortable reclining leather chairs to relax in and a Smart TV. The country kitchen area is fully equipped and has a dining area.
What’s included
A bath towel is provided for each guest but please bring your own beach/pool towels. Beds are made up just before your arrival with fresh linen. There is also a welcome pack to start your stay with locally made treat and some Dorset tea, washing up liquid, soap, tea towel, dishcloth, 2 toilet rolls, a free basket of logs, kindling and fire lighters (where appropriate) will be provided. Free high speed in cottage Wi-Fi. Each cottage has a hairdryer.

We stayed in Apple Cottage for a few days in October. Kevin and Hayley were fantastic hosts – met us on arrival, were around if we needed them but otherwise left us to it. The cottage had all the essentials including a kitchen with oven, hob and microwave and enough crockery and utensils for our needs. Great bathroom with really nice shower and a little private patio area out the back. It was brilliant to be able to book a private one hour slot in the pool each day – lovely for the two of us but also brilliant for families. we enjoyed feeding the (gorgeous) alpacas and sheep and generally relaxing in the peaceful surroundings. Only a 5 minute drive away is Charmouth beach for lovely walks and searching for fossils, and West Bay is only 15 minutes away – truly beautiful. We will be highly recommending this place to friends and family. It was also nice to see that some cottages accommodate dogs so next time we plan to come back with kids and pups! Me and my girlfriend are from the city and needed some fresh air, long walks and change of scenery, everything was perfect from start to finish, we didn’t have a car but we love walking, we took the advice the hosts wrote on the easy to use guest planner, my gf first time meeting alpacas which was exciting, the pool, sauna and hot tub was so great my mum is jealous and wants to go for her honeymoon! We would deffo go back, maybe next time we will bring a car to fit in more walks further away! Great stay! Thank yoooou!
