Experience staying in an authentic 500 year old thatched Dorset farmhouse built the year Christopher Columbus died! The Farmhouse (Grade II Listed) has a wealth of character and charm and has 4 large bedrooms, (1 kingsize with ensuite, 3 kingsize and one with a double bed and a set of bunkbeds, plus a family bathroom with roll top bath and shower. Downstairs there are 2 lounges with beams, inglenook fireplace, window seats, original shutters, smart tv, comfy sofas, dining room (in the old cheese making room) with seating for 10 and large kitchen with dishwasher and large fridge/freezer and a cloakroom. There are 2 private store rooms which are locked. The large peaceful southerly facing garden has seating area, stream, duck pond and wonderful views of the village church. This accommodation is for you if you enjoy an authentic rural Dorset stay, it’s not particularly fancy or modern but it is quirky, clean, comfortable and a real experience!
What’s included
A bath towel is provided for each guest but please bring your own beach/pool towels. Beds are made up just before your arrival with fresh linen. There is also a welcome pack to start your stay with locally made treat and some Dorset tea, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, soap, tea towel, dishcloth and toilet rolls. Hairdryer provided. Free High Speed Wi-Fi. Well behaved pets (max 2) under 30kg and over 12 months are welcome. Parking for 2 cars. EV charging available, charge applies.
Please note: Dogs are permitted in this cottage, maximum 3 small to medium short haired, charge applies.

Beautiful converted farm house, with a pool and surrounding fields. We walked to the coast directly from the air bnb and did a great walk to anchor inn pub in sea town via the golden cap.

Lovely old farmhouse with plenty of character. A garden with a large lawn, so plenty of space for the kids. Great swimming pool and games area. Would highly recommend it for families. The location is perfect, so close to some of the best spots on the Jurassic Coast.
