Smugglers Cottage

Dorset has a long tradition of smuggling, shipwrecking and even piracy.

This cosy single storey converted stone barn is ideal for a couple with a double bed, ample storage and newly fitted ensuite bathroom with large shower.  The living area has a high vaulted beamed ceiling and wood burning stove with a sofa and armchair.  The country kitchen area is fully equipped and has a dining area.

What’s included
A bath and hand towel is provided for each guest but please bring your own beach/pool towels. Beds are made up just before your arrival with fresh linen. There is also a welcome pack to start your stay with locally made Dorset apple cake or biscuits and some Dorset tea, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets (where applicable), soap, tea towel, dishcloth, 1 toilet roll, logs, kindling and fire lighters (where appropriate) will be provided. A travel cot, highchair, blackout blind and baby bath can be booked in advance but please bring your own cot bedding. Free High Speed Wi-Fi. Each cottage has a hairdryer.

What’s not
Smugglers Cottage is heated by a log burner and electricity which is metered. To encourage you to ‘Save the Planet’ we share the cost with you 50/50. This should amount to about £15/week in the colder months. 25% goes to the NEA charity (www.nea.org.uk) . There is no charge during the warm peak season from July 1st – Aug 31st.

Changeover day/ Short breaks
Arrival and departure days are fully flexible. Minimum stay is 2 nights. Cottages are available from 4pm.
